Going It Alone
More and more women in midlife are realising that they no longer want to hold senior leadership roles in complex, high-pressure organisations. They still care deeply about doing meaningful work and often still need to earn, but they are tired of the relentless demands and challenging working environments.
When you know you want something different, but you’re nowhere near ready for retirement, working for yourself can feel like the natural next step. The challenge is knowing how to get started with freelance or self-employed work in a way that feels realistic, sustainable and right for you.

A Supportive Path Into Self-Employment.
With all of this in mind, Going It Alone is a new programme for midlife women who are keen to explore self-employment in a grounded, sustainable way.
It’s designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and practical tools you need to set yourself up independently, either as a freelancer/sole trader or as a limited company – all in a friendly, supportive space with a group of women who are in a similar space to you.
You’ll Get from the Programme:
Step into self-employment with purpose and confidence
Over four half-day online sessions, I’ll share what I’ve learned from nearly seven years of working successfully – and very happily – for myself and help get you started in thinking about your offer, your pricing and how to market yourself.
I'll be running a pilot programme in January and February 2026 at a special rate of £240 (including VAT). Spaces on the pilot will be limited to keep the group small and supportive. Please contact me if you'd like to book a place on the programme or find out more.
